Job Description |
Financial Accounting & Reporting •Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS). •Prepare and submit consolidated reporting packages to the Japanese parent company based on J-GAAP or IFRS. •Handle corporate tax, SST (Sales & Service Tax) filings in Malaysia, and manage tax audits. •Lead external audit processes. Management Accounting & Business Control •Formulate company-wide budgets, manage actual results, and conduct variance analysis. •Establish and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). •Manage cash flow, perform cash flow forecasting, and optimize working capital. •Negotiate and maintain good relationships with financial institutions in Malaysia. International Finance & Compliance •Manage credit control and accounts receivable collection processes for overseas clients. •Maintain and strengthen compliance with the Malaysian Companies Act and other relevant regulations. Team Management •Supervise, develop, and evaluate local finance and accounting staff (2–3 members). •Drive process review and operational efficiency improvements. |

Requirements |
Requirements (Must) ✓7+ years of accounting or finance experience in Malaysia. ✓2+ years of team management experience (managing 3 or more staff). ✓Proven track record of leading financial closing under MFRS. ✓Knowledge and hands-on experience in cost accounting (retail/wholesale industry experience is a plus). ✓Strong knowledge of MFRS/MPERS and Malaysian tax regulations. ✓PC skills: Word, Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTable), PowerPoint, Power BI. Preferred ✓Experience in logistics, warehousing, trading, or wholesale industry. ✓Work experience in a Japanese company or reporting to a Japanese HQ. ✓Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, D365FO, etc.). ✓Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA, MIA, etc.). ✓Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and/or Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese). ✓Knowledge and experience in transfer pricing. |
